Some names are difficult to spell,
When those who try may well despair.
That’s not the case of “Colin Bell”.
And, we believe, it’s only fair.
Confronted with a heavy bulk
Of problems that would make one dizzy,
There were so many who would sulk,
When he would take it nice and easy.
Work in HR is seldom fun
And some of it is plainly shocking.
But gentlemen will never run,
And Colin Bell is known for walking.
Some humans get fed up and quit,
When Management gets not so human.
But Colin is a real Brit,
With courage and a sense of humour.
Along this long and winding road,
Where sometimes beasts outnumbered beauties,
No hardships managed to erode
His never failing sense of duty.
There’s surely life after HR.
It may be not all nice and pleasing.
But having been so cool so far,
We bet he’ll take it just as easy!
