YOU WERE DRIVING TO FRONT *
(Free translation from Russian** by the author Yosef Latman)
You were driving to front, your eyes are full of grief,
By door of goods vans suddenly appeared mist thick ...
As if prophesying to us misfortune big, -
To evening snows has covered groves pine trees′.
I swore to wait for You always, intimes all,
If only, friend, You′d come back to me alive.-
From fatal news I barely-barely woke up, like
A stranded trout in hysterics, lone...
Have passed years - is another with me now -
And did not escape I thecold conjugal′s bed,
As I not passed the blizzard snow′s
Long ago, when winter was wicked.
Are full of longing eyes - go again to front,
And the darkness to the doors of the vans approaches.
Touching by the winds, the almost fallen, crowns,
Winter sadness′ us again with the lightning scares …
